Michael has joined Redmond North Little League (RNLL) playing for the AAA White Sox. The league held its preseason Jamboree on March 21st, and I took the opportunity to take some pictures

Christmas 2008 was up and running as usual! The major difference was that it is now located in Redmond, Washington. In May this year, Simon started working in Redmond, and we have now completed our move selling the house in Dublin and buying one in Redmond. We are loving being here in Washington despite the very British weather at times....

So, on to the Christmas display. It pretty much all came with us and survived the move. The favourites such as the Ferris Wheel, the trains, and the animated lights are all in place. The "Bear World" wasn't rebuilt this year whilst we figure out the new garden, but Santa's reindeer farm and flying school were back and bigger than ever. All in all, we thought it looked pretty good, but, as always, we have ideas for 2009! We didn't know how it would react to REAL snow which doesn't happen in Dublin California - that certainly became quite a challenge as December 08 was one of the snowiest on record in Redmond!

The overall view is above, but please take a look at the other photo's in the Christmas 2008 Flash Gallery (or click here for the non-flash version).

As you may have gathered from the above, we have moved! We now live in Redmond WA, about 15 miles from Seattle. It was a job-related move, but am glad to say that we are all loving Washington - it is truly beautiful and the people have been so friendly.

Christmas 2007 was great fun, and the display looked great. (Editors Note...Little did we know it was the last one in Dublin!)! Read all the statistics and see some of the local newspaper articles here.

bullet Christmas 2006 - the photo's are still here along with some statistics. You can also still find the FAQ's about the lights along with some more photo's in the Christmas 2004 story.

bulletThanksgiving 2006 included a drive up into the Sierra ... over Highway 4 (Ebetts Pass) and back on Highway 88 (Carson Pass). Needed snow tyres in a couple of places. Managed to see a Bald Eagle near the top of Carson Pass, a Golden Eagle and Burrowing Owls (near Altamont Pass) and generally had a fun day. Long drive though... A few photos of the day can be found here.

bulletSummer 2006 took us on a camping trip to Yosemite - staying right in the valley. What a trip - something I am sure Michael will remember all his life. Bikes, Boats and Bears were the highlights..... the news story is here

bulletThe photo's from Ken and Lissette's wedding in Los Angeles on April 16th 2005 are still on the site. There are a number of different albums (sorry, easier to upload that way!) which can be found on the albums page on the left.

bulletThe album of  Michael and Jessica is still here, but needs some updates. Click on albums on the left to see these photos.

bulletSome of you may not have seen the Christmas story or Christmas lights (2004) - that was published as a news article so read news and views if you want to see that one.

BACKGROUND.

It took me a very long time to get this started, and then equally long to do some updates. I think I now have everything set up so that we can keep it more timely! The site has been divided into a number of albums, and also links into a few other sites of interest to myself and, hopefully, to you.

Nearly all the photo's in the album pages were taken by Simon or Yanira. Those that were taken by others are suitably accredited. The pictures have all been optimized for display on computer screens, and therefore do not print at high resolution. Just contact us (email is Simon@SimonPhoto.Net) if you want a print-optimized copy of the photograph.

In addition to formatting for screen display, most pictures have been compressed so that they are viewable over a dial-up connection.

The sections below will tell you How To Find Your Way Around, Contact Information and also a brief background as to Why SimonPhoto.Net exists.

Your comments are welcome...have fun....and keep in touch.

Simon & Yanira.

How to Find Your Way Around

SimonPhoto.Net is subdivided into albums, and places of interest.

Look at the Whats New page for changes since you last visited.

Look at the Albums Page for the photograph albums. The albums are subdivided into categories, including family, ornithology, around the Bay Area and specific albums for events and/or trips.

Look at the Out & About Page for information and links to some of the places you will see in the albums, as well as information about our area (Dublin, California) and our other "homes" (Southern England and El Salvador).

Why SimonPhoto.Net?

Just some fun! I work with computers, but the business work doesn't involve the web. I see lots of really bad websites, and thought I would try to do something better.

Major hobbies are travel, family, ornithology, railways and photography. Put those together, and you find that sharing your pictures through the web makes sense (it is a lot easier than emailing them or carrying a photo album).
